What is the NGH?
You may have noticed the "NGH" logo on my "About" page (see: About). Well, what is that and what does it mean?
"The National Guild of Hypnotists, Inc. (NGH) is a not-for-profit, educational corporation in the State of New Hampshire. Officially founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 1950 the Guild is a professional organization composed of dedicated individuals committed to advancing the field of hypnotism. We provide an open forum for the free exchange of ideas concerning hypnotism. The Guild is a resource for members and a vehicle for legal and legislative action." (See: NGH Site).
Why Am I a Member?
I chose to join with the NGH because I believe they have some of the best minds in the world working to improve hypnotic techniques and share training with other hypnotists to increase its effectiveness. As a member, I am required to undergo continual training to maintain my certifications with the NGH.
Additionally, I work very hard to learn more techniques to help you as my client. I study a number of published works, scientific studies and psychological theory to further assist you in overcoming bad habits, negative thinking, phobias and a number of other issues of a non-medical nature.
What's That Mean for You?
You can expect the best I have to offer; an accumulation of my training and studies, the expertise of other professional hypnotists and higher ethical standards. As a member of the NGH, I am bound to maintain the highest of ethical standards and my clients should expect nothing less.
